Global Engineering, Procurement, Construction management consultancy (EPCM) requires Business Development Manager, Advanced Technologies for Shanghai Engineering Office
Job Purpose Summary:
This role is responsible for continuing the market entry into the IT/Date Centre facility engineering workstream in China and to plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities, in order to maintain and develop sales of their services to the Chinese major accounts, in accordance with agreed business plans.
Responsibilities
* Market search and industry analysis, for this workstream in China and to draw comparison with Asian and global market trends
* Identification, establishment and development of business relationship with new clients
* Reinforcement of current clients relationship and regular client visits
* Preparation and performance of company and project related presentations
* Preparation of commercial and technical proposals
* Preparation and maintenance of in-house databases along with department management activities and reporting
* Participation in major project meetings
* Participation in engineering concept development
* Preparation and participation in exhibitions and workshops
* Active membership in related professional and trade organizations
Requirements:
Technical / Functional Expertise:
* Graduate engineer specialized in IT infrastructure and facility mechanical r electrical engineering, business development and marketing with at least 10 years job experience in the IT/Data centre facility engineering in China.
* Fluent in English.
* Deep knowledge of international and local IT + data Centre companies and market place in China.
* Good knowledge of IT/Data Centre Standards and technologies.
* Ideally have knowledge and some experience in "Green Building" projects and technologies.
* Excellent communication skills and team player qualities.
* Willing to travel frequently in China and abroad.

* Demonstrated experience of managing multiple projects / work activities (timelines; work plans; deliverables) of moderate complexity.
* Manages and leads people and / or suppliers in a work group or project.
* Timely identification of resource needs.
Innovation / Creativity:
* Actively shares knowledge with others with the department and company, using existingknowledge sharing processes / systems.
* Identifies and makes improvements to existing work processes / products.
Leadership:
* Establishes tactical activities for professional staff and contracted resources in support of operational goals.

Package
Basic salary: ranges from ca ?50 - 60K pa depending upon experience. |
